The Nurture Project, is a newly formed CIC, a not for profit community organisation aiming to enhance the physical, mental and social wellbeing of individuals, communities and their environments through educational outdoor experiences, supporting people through the current climate and cost of living crisis, building stronger, more resilient communities and bringing people together to connect with nature, themselves, and each other.

The Community Garden provides a nature rich, multi-sensory environment fully accessible and inclusive to all, a place for the whole community to come along and grow collaboratively, sharing skills and techniques to grow healthy food produce, reducing food miles. On offer are a wide range of outdoor educational experiences for people of all ages and abilities including:

  • Healthy cooking classes and dietary education, reducing food waste.
  • Community composting to establish and maintain healthy soil.
  • Creating natural environments and pollinators for wildlife to thrive.
  • Lessons in growing your own food at home, creating your own vegetable / herb boxes to take home and enjoy.
  • Forest School – a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.
  • Nature arts & craft workshops including: willow weaving, wreath making, land art, hapa zome, cyanotypes, nature photography, flower arrangements, natural dyes and more.

The Nurture Project works with schools, community groups and home education to deliver meaningful educational experiences to educate & enable the next green generation.
