Public Library & Community Hub
Over £80,000 capital funding was secured to upgrade the library in Haydon Bridge, which re-opened in May 2010 as a Community Library, Visitor Information Point and Internet Café for the benefit of both local people and visitors.

The Bridge is now also available for hire outside opening hours and is used by groups providing support and information services to anyone needing them.

The Bridge now provides for local residents and visitors:
The Bridge is run entirely by volunteers who receive training from Northumberland County Council to operate the library service. Our volunteers have a wealth of local knowledge and can help with many queries. If they can’t give you an answer, they will do their best to find out for you.
