Haydon Bridge is set among some of Northumberland’s most beautiful countryside and is ideal for those who appreciate the outdoor life.
For walkers many quiet paths lead directly from the village centre, Hadrian’s Wall is close by with its many linear and circular trails, and the two loops of the ‘John Martin Trail’ have attracted many walking groups and individuals following in the young Martin’s footsteps and seeing the magnificent views which so influenced this famous Victorian artist.

The area’s quiet roads and trails are becoming increasingly popular with cyclists, many of whom visit us every June for the annual running of the Haydon Hundred Cyclo Sportive. See the Walking and Cycling page for more information.

There are opportunities all around to explore the great outdoors, but here are just a few ideas which are right on our doorstep.
