Tonight’s film is THE OUTRUN (2024) This features a brilliant and stunning performance by Saoirse Ronan as a woman following rehab. who returns home to the Orkney Islands. The film is directed by Nora Fingscheidt based on the 2016 memoir by Amy Liptrot. Fingscheidt wrote the screenplay with Liptrot based on a story they wrote with Daisy Lewis. The film is a co-production between the United Kingdom and Germany. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on 19 January 2024.
